Southbourne Hosts Family Adventure Festival Roadshow
Brand new for 2013, the Family Adventure Festival is an event for Bournemouth and promises a great weekend of excitement at the end of the school holidays. The BH Live Adventure Hub will take place at the BIC from Friday 31st May to Sunday 2nd June 2013 between 10am - 6pm, with numerous activities also taking place on the beautiful, award winning beach.
On Tuesday 28th May, Southbourne will be the fi rst host for the Adventure Festival Roadshow, featuring activities with DJ Allan Turner-Ward at Café Riva, a photography competition at Studio Shotz, storytelling at Southbourne Library, a Creative Contest at Ludo Lounge and the chance to meet elite Olympians at The Grove Tavern + plots more.
On the beach you can try Beach Soccer, in association with England Beach Soccer, featuring ex-Arsenal Player Terry Bowes and also lacrosse with English Lacrosse. Plus you can try Power Kiting with charity KiteRight, a land based taster sessions on training kites with quali ed instructors. May & June Southbourne Magazine
Welcome to the May & June 2013 edition of the Southbourne-on-Sea Magazine.
There is a bit of a fitness theme to this edition as we welcome two new gyms to the high street in Southbourne. Energie and Shokk are above the new Sainsburys and we have full details about what's on offer from pages 6 to 10.
We have news of the 5th anniversary for Sugar Mango and two new festivals coming our way - the Shake & Stir Vintage Festival on the 23rd June and the Family Adventure Festival Roadshow at the end of May.
