The teams at Tanner & Tilley Town Planners and Bournecoast Property Agents are flying high at the moment after both their Managing Directors reached the final three of the Langtry Manor Business Women Awards.
This is a proud achievement for both teams as it is the only category that can be won by a man. Coincidentally, both businesses are Southbourne based. Roger Tilley of Tanner & Tilley and Des Simmons of Bournecoast were both initially voted for by the women in their respective organisations for the support received in their working environments, flexibility and support to family situations.

New Co-Operative at Southbourne Crossroads
Civic chiefs approved plans for a new Co-Op in Belle Vue Road Southbourne, despite protests from local residents and business owners.
The Planning Board heard that there had been seven letters of objection and a petition containing 336 signatures against turning the former Beds R Uzz store into a convenience store.
The site is on local bus routes and will service tourists in the summer as it is very near the cliff top. The store will trade from 7am until 11pm.
